Many internet companies are now offering e-commerce solutions as a way to absorb the growing entrepreneur and small business market and consumer base. Yahoo! Small Business has expanded their e-commerce plans and offer various internet retailer packages for the public. I have a friend who purchased an e-commerce plan from yahoo over 2 months ago, yet it is still not a "live" site and she is still struggling with both the design of her landing page and the functionality of her shopping cart. Yet, she continues to pay $80 a month for a site that doesnt work!! The buttons and overall "look" of her site is very plain and boring, and doesnt inspire me to want to go past the main page.
For 39.95 to $299.95 a month and a $50 setup fee, Yahoo provides domain, hosting, email, 24 hr support and an "easy to use" design tools kit!! This means not only do you have to design and build your website, but you also need to upload photos of your product into your site, and then write the content for your site. After all this is done you will then have to market it yourself. Unless, you can commit an additional $1000 a month, Yahoo's marketing team will include your site in search engine ads on yahoo.
WebGem on the other hand offers complete internet retail sites for under $300!! this means domain, hosting, email, and WEBSITE!! No software or "web design tools"!! Once you choose a domain name and purchase a ecommerce site from WebGem, you receive a link to your fully functional website! No photos or products necessary, they connect you with their wholesalers products who take care of allt he packaging and shipping! If this isnt enough, WebGem also markets your site for free! They do this by including your dmoain name in over 200 of webGem's websites and web directories that they either belong to or own.
This is an obvious "no brainer," WebGem Net is the better choice for your e-commerce solutions!
